First (always come first!) Happy Birthday to
maechi and
msbeata! Hope you're enjoying your days to the max and having a wonderful time ::much love and hugs::
After staying up until the unheard of time of 1.30, I'm having trouble focusing on the keyboard. I had a lot of editing to do and got a fair bit accomplished and then did three straight hours of vidding after the kids were in bed. The timeline looks impressively filled in but most of it is placeholders... this one's nearly 5 minutes long. Shaping up well, though. The main problem is that I'm not as familiar with the Jack/Teal'c pivotal moments as I am the Jack/Daniel ones so I'm sitting there chewing the end of my pen (I meant pen, always meant pen) with a vague memory of a hug and no episode to hang it on. But I've found some I'd forgotten, so it evens out. And they have some nice moments together.
It's good that I've got the vidding to do as the writing's ground to a halt recently; just can't seem to finish/start/make progress on any of a handful of fics and original stories. A few years ago, I'd have gone into an 'oh noes, I cannot write anymore!' tailspin; now I just shrug, sigh, and wait to get over it.
Ooh, and although I should have saved it to read on holiday (one of the minor pleasures of a holiday is going away with spandy-new books to read) when my SG-1 novel arrived from Amazon yesterday I couldn't resist. It's called Trial by Fire by Sabine C Bauer and so far it's very engaging; definitely a cut above the others I've read.
