Awards, kerfuffles and a birthday; must be, uh, Friday...

Happy Birthday sly_bone! Hoping it's a very special day for you and kicks off a wonderful weekend ::hugs::

I'm not involved in any of the current crop of kerfuffles and hazy on the ones outside my fandoms (and inside in some cases; so out of the loop...) but I will say that the red mist descended when I read about someone in the HP fandom nicking chunks from Frances Hodgson Burnett and LMM. Some lines you just don't cross and Joy's death in Anne's House of Dreams is one of them :;breathes in and tries to stay calm::

Moving on...

Voting is now open in The Stargate Awards and I'm looking forward, once the kids go back to school, to setting a day aside to vote. Lot of stories there I know and love; lot to read for the first time and enjoy; going to be fun.

Thanks again to the people who were kind enough to nominate my fics; some got dropped as there weren't enough fics in the nominating category but eight are still up there and I'm grinning happily at being included.

And at the words 'when the kids go back to school' but shhh, don't tell them; I love them, really :-)
