Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] fannishnej! Hope your day is being all a birthday should be and keeps getting better with each passing hour :;hugs::

Here we have rain, rain and more rain.

Oh, well.

Eleanor was at a sleepover last night and apparently they all went to sleep around three so I expect a meltdown later.

I saw School of Rock on Friday; one of the movies I've wanted to see for ages and never have because David saw it on a plane trip and didn't want to see it again. The vodka I was drinking might have been partly to blame but I was laughing so much I was crying in places. Predictable and implausible, yes, but so much fun and like Supernatural, the music had me whimpering nostalgically.

Speaking of Supernatural... ::points at icon:: [livejournal.com profile] wesleysgirl took a stunning pic of Jensen posted by [livejournal.com profile] winterlive and iconed it. God, he's unbearably pretty in these.

David's stripping the Camaro's engine right down as it will not stop leaking antifreeze everywhere. He's been trying to fix it for weeks now. I suppose for a car that old ('87 Iroc something or other) stuff like this is expected but I have a feeling both cars aren't going to be with us much longer. Why don't they build engines so you can get at stuff easily?

I started a fic last night and I'm going to be sitting on my hands trying not to post until it's done but I daren't risk posting as I go in case the inspiration fizzles. Got a lot of stuff on the go right now; editing, always, my first solo novel is almost ready to go off to the publishers after [livejournal.com profile] wesleysgirl made Gray sound American not English :;covers her with grateful smooches:: I'm doing two vids, well, one really, as the Daniel one has kind of stalled. The one I am working on is a Supernatural one; Dean/Impala to Queen's 'I'm In Love With My Car'; tell me there aren't already a million to that song? I'm not really involved that much in the fandom enough to know what's going on; been there watching from the start but somehow never really had the urge to fic/read it much; mostly just comment on the eps, no more.

And Eclipsed has about 2,000 new words but not a lot has happened in them so it's not post-ready. Not quite sure what's happening with that. I keep staring at it thoughtfully.

The new fic is the Firefly/The Sentinel one I dreamed up a while back after posting the clip of Richard Burgi in 'The Message'; he's a cop in the future; he has to be a descendant of Jim in need of a Blair, right? Except he's a corrupt, violent version of Jim and so what kind of guide will he get and just how much fun could an amoral Sentinel have before karma kicks in?

And I'm trying to decide if someone labelling a fic 'drabble + 9' because it's 109 words is good because they know what a drabble is, or not. Nine words, come on; you can do it, you can trim! :;encourages::
