Is there fic slashing Joe Pike and Jack O'Neill? If not, why not?
the fact that they'd kill each other sometime during the main event from excess of hot isn't a sufficient reason
I love the Elvis Cole series. Robert Crais is... well, I don't know him exactlyat all but he was my guest when I hosted an online chat back in the day and was kind enough to join us for a couple of hours and let us ask him questions (he's a Heinlein fan; it was the Heinlein readers bi-weekly chat which I, at one point, hosted, and he has a Heinlein reference in every book if you look). He's also a big Janet Evanovich fan. ISTR asking him if Ranger and Joe were similar and they kind of sort of are (Joe came first...)
And Joe is... well. He is. Hot. Silent, tortured, deadly, loyal, hot.
I wouldn't write it; it's more of a theoretical thingummy; I don't fic books unless the authors are dead or I know they don't mind, but Joe Pike is definitely all you'd want in a hero even if he gets less lines than Teal'c.

I'm suffering from a total inability to write the last few days. The Sentinel/Firefly fic is still one part long and although I keep adding bits it's not making it longer but fatter, if that makes sense (been drinking red wine...). I began a nice simple handcuff fic and lost my way there, too...
Part of the problem is that the next fic I write (they don't count until they're posted)is fic number 498.
If you've been reading this LJ for long enough, you'll know I usually make a big deal about the round number fics (yes, mock away that I actually know how many there are; I don't mind :-)) and I'm hanging back because I don't know what to do for fic 500 and dashing off two drabbles to get me there seems like cheating.
Except dashing off fics is how I got to 500 so...
I use more .... when I'm squiffly, don't I?
