Friending notification

Okay, it's not looking as if the Marmanel friending page is going to be up again soon (and I'm not complaining; it was free and wonderfully helpful and kudos to them and I know it's not their fault it's down). Wasn't there a recent LJ option to send you emails when someone friended you? I turned it off as I liked checking at 8.00 but now I'm going to be missing people and won't be able to keep track.

I've looked and looked and can't see it...help?
