Today we're going to get the tree, although we won't be putting it up until next Sunday when David's parents are here. And, although I swear it can't be a year since the last time, we'll get the outside lights up from the basement and check them over and maybe, as it's not too cold, put them up, although, again, no switching on until later. I have a thing about lights going on early; I'm an increasingly grumpy traditionalist and although ours are on for more than 12 days they sure as hell aren't on from November as is the case with some of the people on the street. It just isn't special if it's a whole month of decorations and lights... by the time the day comes they're part of the scenery.
