Am I the only one who keeps thinking of the Hoff book, The Tao of Pooh? Yes? No? Maybe?

It seems this aired out of order but I'm still calling it 3.14 because it's the one after 3.13 so...

This is just what I scribbled down as I watched (when did watching TV become such hard work? ;-))

I probably won't be able to read it but I'm going to copy over the scribble and try and remember what I meant.

1. Ronon/McKay

Heheheh. Even with superpowers, Rodney's too intimidated by Ronon to take him on. Very sensible.

2. Arms/armpits.

And we're in the shallow end of the pool, but Rodney in the chair was showing off some nice armage and Ronon reclining with his arms up was yummy, too. In fact, Rodney looked good in the chair, full stop.

3. Wind Beneath His Wings

Oh, Rodney, you'd love it if Radek really did feel that way, but I don't think he does. Respect, yes, adulation, no.

4. Ancient bashing; change of view.

I've always been a little antagonistic towards the Ancients (which came over in Leaving Time, a fic I did where one of their experiments went horribly wrong ('horribly wrong' 'nice cup of tea'; some words just can't be separated, can they?)). But in the Stargates there's been this veneration of them. That's changing and big time, especially after they came back and booted everyone out of Atlantis then left the place in a mess. Far from being saviours to be deferred to, they're starting to be seen as imperfect, not all-knowing, irritating and dangerous, even.

About bloody time.

5. Two totally incomprehensible words and then 'Radek!!!'

I mean; you knew he'd be okay, but even so. And bare chest with Rodney hands all over it. Yep, this episode is like an uber fanfic in some ways... something for half a dozen 'ships.

6. Flowers for Algernon

That's kind of self-explanatory and yes, by the end, it was true as, kind of like me and these notes, Rodney couldn't make head nor tail of what seemed so clear at the time. Which anyone who's ever had an insight while drunk or high can relate to...

7. Daniel?!?!

Okay, no one expected him to be there but could he at least have got MENTIONED? Or a hook-up with the SGC and a conversation as there was contact with Earth when they sent the Khalek machines over. Sheesh. The one man who pops back and forth beteen human and Ascended being like a yoyo and he doesn't get a name check?

8. "Find a position that works."

From Sheppard. To Rodney. In Sheppard's bedroom.

And it's lying on his back at Sheppard's feet.

Okay, moving on with a grin.

9. HUG!!

I loved McKay's apologies/restitution because they were so very him and yet so very intuitive and personal - which isn't him. Unless it is and he just can't be bothered most of the time. Who knows...

Beautifully, unsentimentally done. The Ronon bit just choked me up, though. He noticed the scars. He thought about what they might mean and had two reasonable possibilities. He ASKED before doing anything without arrogantly assuming he knew best. That's just... okay, choking up again. And Ronon, not knowing what he was doing, still let Rodney hug him, stoically, tiny eye roll, but there was the kind back pat and he endured it.

10. "You love me? All of you?" "In the way that a friend feels about another friend."

Heheheh. I misheard the next bit and had to play it again. I could have sworn McKay said "You're just saying that because I'm a guy"...

He really didn't know they loved him, did he? Poor Rodney.

11. HUG!!

The Ronon hug was adorable. I ::heart:: Ronon so much.

And yes, I have other thoughts (Teyla; underused, I want to keep track of Rodney's improvements and wonder if any will be useful or if they won't make sense to anyone else) but basically, this was an 'awww...' episode.

In spades. With hugs.

But then, who doesn't want to hug Pooh Bear?
