Okay, obviously this will be majorly spoilery, so going behind a cut.
OMG, they're naming the dragon and Teal'c says, 'Perhaps, Puff?' :;dies of the love::
And (I think I should just cut and paste OMG because I keep on saying it) Teal'c's hand stopping Cam, not a word said just that utter refusal to let Cam go out there and make himself a target.
Sooo... Sam's Guinevere, Mitchell's Percival and Daniel's Galahad. Hmm. Baal as Mordred, well, yes.
WHERE THE HELL IS TEAL'C? Guarding the 'gate? Why does it have to be him? Vala could do that quite competently, as could Sam. Daniel's needed to bring Merlin up to speed, yes, can't trust Baal on his own, definitely, Mitchell's Jack and needs to be front and centre... but why is Teal'c shuffled off? Annoying.
Like the continuity of the head hugger device and the hologram projector. Brings back memories of much earlier season (miss Jack, I do, I do).
Oh, Daniel... you've always wanted to do that, haven't you? Jack got there first and then stopped you the second time, but Vala doesn't know you like he does and can't see how the one thing that always gets you tempted is knowledge. And there're going to be consequences. Merlin didn't ask how far you'd all go for nothing...
"How you doing, sunshine?" Heh. Was that what Mitchell called him when he woke him as they reached Atlantis? Is that Daniel's official pet name?
Daniel has other memories in his head.
To echo a line from Heroes, "What, again?"
Ooh, Teal'c doesn't like Baal calling Sam a Tauri female, does he? But he gets this approving smile on his face when Sam deals with Baal without losing her cool.
There's something very weird about hearing Vala say 'Jack'...
Baal needs that smirk wiping off his... oh, wait. Sam just did.
YOU GO, SAM! :;whistles and does the stompy-feet dance::
I'm not saying it was all that in character but damn, that must've felt good.
Apropros of nothing, Daniel's hands are looking good. Lots of shots of them, all elegant long fingers.... mmm.
And look where that hand's going; the D/V 'shippers will love this although I don't think that's Daniel in there, no, it's not.
Aaaand the Daniel/Mitchell 'shippers get their moment a second later. I melted a bit myself. He called him Daniel and that worked. Oh, yes. That's almost as big a deal as it will be when McKay says 'John'...
Vala; Tell him not to do it; he'll listen to you.
Mitchell: What team have you been on?
Heh. Sad, but true.
Oh, lovely little Cameron and Vala moment there; nice connection, nice sharing, nice scuffle.
And how bittersweet is that final line from Mitchell as she stands there, tears about to fall?
Another nice nod to continuity and Oma.
Did Baal just die there? Of course, it might have been a clone but...
Okay, good episode. Enjoyed it.
