Going right behind a cut, major episode spoilers.
And now I can't type because there are actual tears running down my face. Damn.
I was spoiled that Carson was going but not very clear on the details and I thought he was going like Ford did; sticking around, potentially able to come back. This was totally unexpected and I watched everything from the explosion with tears just welling up.
Which is good. It's just. Damn. Tissues. My nose is running here.
As episodes go, this was one I was looking forward to; an episode about them spending a Sunday with glimpses of their off-duty lives, friendships? Give me a spoon to eat it up with; love it! And it delivered; I've squeed earlier about John and Ronon and I loved Lorne painting, loved the way that all of them had these different, totally not overlapping ideas of what was fun.
Elizabeth's boyfriend out of the blue was a bit convenient (and take a hint, will you? She can't date. Not anyone on base.) but nice to see her relax.
The constant back and forth of the time sequence was a little confusing; they can be effective but this was a bit messy. And people blowing up seems a weird thing to do even for the Ancients, not always the brightest pennies in the piggybank.
McKay having a fit and then telling them to take the day off was adorable.
Not sure before this I'd have said Carson and McKay were best friends; good friends, sure, but best?
And, okay, done crying now.
::sniffles::
Sort of.
