What you all said, basically ::g::

And thank heavens David was in last night so I got to watch in company because it was a leeetle creepy.

Some of the episodes are, some aren't. This one had a few things that triggered my eep-meter, namely antique dolls and old houses (although I loved this one and the dolls house was just gorgeous) plus creepily merciless children.

In one of the commercial breaks (each and every one of which had an insanely long trailer for Once Upon a Time in Mexico which had us grinding our teeth on the fourth one) I regaled David with the story (was it Bradbury? too idle to look it up) called, I think, The Veldt, where two kids have a playroom that's basically a holodeck and when their parents, sick of never seeing them and puzzled as to why it's always set to 'veldt', threaten to turn it off at which point the kids lure them in and feed them to the lions.

It was when Maggie stared at the mother and said, 'I really don't like her' that I got the chill but I totally thought she was real after initially thinking they were both ghosts when they were sitting at the top of the stairs.

Got fooled twice!

No, three times, as I honestly thought Sam was possessed not blind drunk. And, yes, he didn't act drunk well, as a lot of you have said and I have to agree with but as I commented somewhere else, that desperate, grabbing at Dean trying to haul him down to the bed just to hold and be held and feel safe, was the hottest, saddest thing ever.

And poor, poor Dean. two promises binding him hand and foot to do the last thing he wants. Because he'd die for Sam, sure, no problem... but kill him? Are you kidding me?

Which is a weakness the demon's going to exploit big time.

So good episode, although they did kind of overdo the 'we think you're gay' bit at the start, much though I snickered. 'Antiquing'. Yeah, right ;-) And Sam being a doll collector... how much did he kick Dean's ass for that when the dust settled?
