Aaaand going behind a cut.

Wow. That was one layered episode. It felt stuffed full of well, omens and portents, somehow. And symbols. Note the room; someone has to analyse those rooms they stay in because they're starting to be the fourth main character after the Impala.

This one had silhouettes of women, magic finger beds (I thought of you, Murray/Teal'c) and Dean swigging from a flask listening to rock and getting off on that bed (seriously; we opened on orgasm face and Sam rubbed that right in which yes, I know how it sounds, shut up.)

So we have Dean; profane.

And Sam; sacred. Singled out for redemption.

Like the prostitute and the apathetic drunk. Good company there.

The moment where we found out Sam prays, Sam believes was just ... stunning. And of course he does; he's filthy, a sinner; he wants to bathe in the Blood of the Lamb. Wants to be pure again.

And once again, his salvation comes from Dean, who's made to believe. Angels bring the Good News; the gospel.

Dean's Sam's angel.

Loved this one. And it all has to balance, so, yes, their world has to have angels if it has demons. Layer upon layer... an ultimate God, an ultimate Devil? Who knows.
