And it's running commentary time which I feel should come with a warning for the butterfly-like flitting of my brain this early.
Cool opening shot. I do have a sneaking fondness for the rings and the kawoosh. Not that we get to see the dear old kawoosh much these days... And nice little zoom and pullback but I can't help feeling a bit... uncomfortable with the wholesale mayhem and bloodshed. It's a big galaxy out there and we have problems enough; do we really need to be taking out smugglers? And take out one head of the LA and another will come; they're hardly Anubis level...
Is it good or bad that I knew EXACTLY what Teal'c was going to say for each of his two lines?
I was initially rolling my eyes at the way Sam, Teal'c and Daniel were neatly got out of the way but then we flashed to Sam and I was mollified. Dr Lee is still the cutest ::pets::
Vala really is alien/not quite right isn't she? Just a little larger than life. And why is she so socially inept anyway? I snickered at the sex in every room line (and the look Cam got off his dad was utterly perfect) but she should know you don't say stuff like that from her own upbringing if nothing else.
Daniel. Arms. Bare. With books. That shouldn't have such an effect on me but it did ::feels oddly Victorian::
Daniel. So, so not good at the flirting. With women, anyway.
Aliens. Teal'c is off world and will be found later, will he? Is he even going to be in this episode again?

Cam's mum rocks. I'm liking the Cam/family deal. And the 'forced to sleep in the same room to keep up appearances' is such a fanfic staple but I bet it doesn't go the way it normally would here :;g::
