I'm pleased, proud, and generally overcome with delight, to announce that 'Laying a Ghost' is now available to buy as an e-book from Loose Id.
wesleysgirl and I began writing it last May and it was a joy to work on from start to finish. The character of John McIntyre was one we'd created and fallen in love with when we wrote 'Act of Nature' and giving him a story of his own, set on a different island, appealed to us very much. Nick Kelley is every bit as lovable as John and the two of them were just so much fun to write.
It's my first novel so I'm extra thrilled, although it isn't something that you ever get blase about. Hope not, anyway...
Writing with WG was, as ever, an unmixed pleasure. It's way easier than writing by myself; she's such an inspiration and our styles mesh really well, I think. We researched everything from ferry timetables to boilers, and the setting, a Hebridean island, brought back happy memories for us both.
Thanks to the people who helped us get it ready for submission,
flaming_muse and
byrne especially ::grateful hugs:: and thanks to our editor, Ansley at Loose Id who was great to work with, all their editing staff, and April Martinez for the lovely cover.
