Just went past 25,000 words in Boundaries. Sort of near the end; another five thousand at least, probably more. I should finish this first draft this week. I really want to finish it and find out the shape of it, find out what happens; I'm curious even though I already know, because I don't know exactly.
I'm spoiled but I haven't seen the show ::g::
And then I go back to the start and begin reading through, tweaking, expanding, shining it up... which will take almost as long as writing it, heh. (Not really). And then off to be beta'd by the lovely
t_verano :;smooches her:;
It's a half happy, half sad feeling finishing up a long fic -- and this is pretty long for me, these days.
It's been a lot of fun, especially as it's all from one POV which means you have to work at getting stuff across without the luxury of the other character's turns filling in the gaps. And for some reason, it's Blair's POV, which I don't use as much as Jim's, so that was challenging, too.
But it's nearly ready,
ponders_life, so thank you for being so patient! ::hugs::
