Heh. Joined the No cookie for you, bad fic group today. Somewhere I can be mean about the fics I writhe about when I read them on ff.net :evil chuckle: Of course, it probably won't do any good but it's an outlet for my outrage and the comments are funny.
Speaking of bad writing, I finished the Laurell Hamilton a few days ago. Now, it wasn't all that bad. In fact I liked it better than some of the more recent ones but she's getting lazy, or her editor is. Over and over she would use a phrase and then repeat it a few paragraphs later. At one point she describes Asher's hair as being like golden tinsel on a Christmas tree. Fine. But she says that _three_ times in as many pages. Find another simile!
I'm also stuck on my Spander _again_. If this fic had a bottom, I'd spank it. Part three will be a while. The hot wild wanton sex isn't happening and I have a horrible feeling there's going to be a plot instead. It'll have to deviate from canon but...there's Xander, right, a friend of the Slayer's. There's Spike, wanting the Master's help with Dru... If Spike finds out who Xander is am I the only one thinking 'hostage'? Spike can use Xander to get Buffy and give her to the Master in return for help with sickly Dru. It's what I'd do if I were an evil, obsessed vampire in love. And Xander isn't liking Buffy so much..or is he? Is my H!X fighting it because he wasn't evil when he got zapped? Too many new thoughts bubbling up.
