Episode thoughts on SGA 4.3 as I watch which means rambling, diffuse, and full of places where I get it wrong.

I recognize this village set... Ironic, all these years on and we're still stuck with the equivalent of the Star Trek quarry. One day they'll be able to whip up a virtual setting that they can film against and have it look real and we'll be in clover.

Teyla's awfully snippy with him there but whoo, way to kick Satedan ass. Three on one, and you go, girl.

McKay, you know you'd hate it/there'd be a Mutiny on the Bounty within the week. You're just not suited to command.

So... Jack doesn't mind Sam being reassigned to Pegasus then? Just Daniel he wants to keep? ;-)) And Sam's science, yes, but she's military, too. Whole new ballgame now. Whole new. Sheppard's reporting to someone who knows all about chain of command and who's holding the leash end of that chain.

Tavern scene, expo...WHAT? CJ IS IN THIS EPISODE? EEEEE! See, this is what happens when you don't read spoilers; you get to be surprised AND have instant gratification :-)

Totally unpsoiled... but somehow I think these three are Wraith spies who will betray Ronon who will go to Sheppard for comfort sex a minute after the credits roll.

Well, maybe I'll have to write that last bit myself.

I will leave this in even if I am wrong, I promise. I only edit typos in this kind of review. Because I'm sure watching me leap like a chamois to the wrong conclusion is amusing :-)

Cheyenne...how jarring is that in an SGA episode? And how much is my lip wibbling wistfully?

Aww... a Sam and Teal'c moment. Nice. And given that he remembers what happened and the commentary to Unending said they were an item, couldn't he have called her 'Samantha' not 'Colonel Carter'? ::sigh:: Oh, Teal'c.

'Undomesticated equines..' WHAT? That's yours and Jack's joke, Teal'c! You and Jack! Make up a new one for Sam! You hav emore than one in you, I know you do!

That hug. The tears. Teal'c clinging to her arm a little longer than he should, and his face. Okay, I'm all misty-eyed and sniffling here. Loved it.

I see a pineapple! ::drinks:: And, yes, even with red frondy bits, that's what it is, but I think it's funny and I forgive :-)

Heh, nice save there, Radek.

What's the tappy, hammering thing he's doing that made Ronon slap him? Is it a tattoo or something? ::squints:: Like the one on his neck better.

And oops. Loose lips sink ships, Ronon.

OMG, is that a picture of Jack? JUST Jack? It is, isn't it? Gah.

'Vayzhe' Heh, that one always sounds so weird to my English ears.

Oh, John, you sneaky bastard :;g:: Although... the jokes so far have been so sit-com obvious.

Snerk. Seeing someone. Unrequited lust. Love Rodney bringing that up like that -- right after Sheppard betrays him, heh.

Ooh. Ronon. Tension. Ouch and good. Because this would happen. Ronon's loyalties aren't going to switch abruptly (although... he's military himself and he knows commands change and all that.) He's bound to distrust her -- especially as she doesn't look like one of them. She needs an Atlantis uniform stat.

Definitely suspicious of this guy now. Although, I can see his point. They've known him longer.

This John/Sam conversation is so like the one he had with Elizabeth in the pilot. But Sam won't be swayed the way Elizabeth was, I don't think. She's ben on a few reckless, risk all missions herself -- but that's why she knows when something's doable and when it's just pointless. Plus, it risks making Elizabeth's sacrifice worthless.

OMG, is it just me or, despite the blindfold being on Teyla, not Ronon ::pauses to swallow at the thought of the other way around:: is she just pure Domme here? Hot.

Stop using Earth expressions to people who don't have a clue what you're babbling about! Designated driver? Ebay? Oh, those wacky Earthlets!

Ronon's leaving? Is that an 'over my dead body' look I see on Sheppard's face? Yes, I think it is.

Oh, Sam. Shades of Teal'c being told he couldn't leave the SGC because he knew too much... nasty. Pragmatic on the surface but you do not want Ronon thinking he's being held prisoner. He gets testy and the knives come out. All of them.

They didn't iron all this out before they started?

Okay, I almost thought that would be a cell and someone would chortle 'aha!'

Woobie face Ronon makes me want to pet him.

Oh... crunch time and he runs back to them. That's got to hurt his old friends no matter how you slice it.

"Oh, come on, it worked for him!" Bwhahah. ::loves::

Slo-mo, death in two hands Ronon! Mmm. Niiiiice.

It's very dark. What, are the Wraith half moles?

Rodney's expression. Oh, God ::pets him::

I KNEW IT.

GRR.

Coolest entry through the 'gate ever ::grin::

An ad for Decoys 2, Alien Seduction? What, as in Decoys, the one with Richard Burgi in? Not that he's in the sequel, or I'd have heard about it.

"Are you sure?" Oh, for God's sake, John! Brain. Switch it on.

Glad to see Sam's got some moral integrity back... but why is she on the mission? She's Hammond now. She stays on base (which is why Weir's character teetered on underused for a major credits character and ultimately doomed her but it can't be helped.). I can make a case for her using this to prove herself but as a regular thing she just can't do it. General O'Neill stayed deskbound for the same reason.

Even I knew the Replicator would go for the Wraith, not them. ::rolls eyes::

Awesome fight.

"They're right here." John's face. :;sniffles happily::

He, er, never actually left, Teyla... but I suppose in spirit he did. Why did McKay want that painting? It's not really his style at all.

I wonder if that scar will stay?

Good enough episode; nice to see the Wraith again. Really obvious plot, though.
