I got to level 50 on the free rice vocab test. It's amazing how even when you don't know the word you can work it out from tiny clues and a process of elimination.
I'm exhausted; I've been decorating the basement for Eleanor's Halloween party. It's looking pretty darn awesome, I have to say. April lent me her staple gun; very useful but ow, ow, hard to press down and I kept pinching my fingers. I'm very inept at stuff like that. Then the cats decided it would be fun to pull down all the plastic sheeting in black and orange I was using to cover my bookshelves and give a cave effect.
They are banned from the basement, omg.
So, yes, looks good, but it's going to be a pain in the arse getting all the cobweb stuff down. That stuff is amazing; never seen it before we moved here; you pull it and rip it and a piece as big as your hand covers an entire soccer field.

knitmeapony pointed me at this hilarious 90 second cartoon of a cat waking a man up; the kids adore it and have played it about a million times.
I was a total piggie last night and ate two bowls of hint of lime tortilla chips dunked into mango chutney. The salt and the tangy sweet go together really well.
Okay, enough random; time to put Lauren to bed.
(Peace, blissful peace, is imminent. And maybe more chips and chutney to go with NCIS and House...)
