David is home sick for the second day; feverish, chills, upset stomach; really weird combination of ills. I feel about 60% myself with what I think is Lauren's cold; gosh, we're a plague house! :;disinfects LJ::
Watched Chuck last night.
In some ways, the plot was weak and not all that interesting; the bad guy was all over the place motivation-wise and I went from sympathy to not without really feeling sure where I should be. Liked the timer ending on '007' which David, comatose on the couch, actually noticed before drifting off again.
But this wasn't about bad guys.
This was about friendship and trust. I could wish that every episode didn't have Chuck vowing to trust the agents because, honestly, I don't think he can. The bugs, especially the one in the photo, well, that was just scummy.
But Morgan, aww... bless.
And Chuck's frantic run to get to him at the end and the matching costumes every year pretty much had me misting over; how adorable was that? Those two just love each other, end of story, take it any way you want to, they do.
Having it be canon that Casey listens to Chuck jerk off is very, er, handy, for fics, too...
Morgan looked good all spiffed up even if it was only temporary (I got a kick out of the way everyone thought it was his costume) and my love for Captain Awesome is increasing in leaps and bounds. Now there's a man confident in his heterosexuality ::g:: He's so damn relaxed and happy and hands on; love it.
I did that 'name all US states in 10 minutes' quiz and still had 18 left at the end; I am made of fail. Of course, being English I suppose I'm not obligated to know them all but it's a sobering fact that I wouldn't do much better with English counties, especially since they've changed the names of lots of them since I lived there.
