I have acres of woodwork to paint white in the hall; doors, stairs, with twiddly poles, dozens of them, that're going to be so fiddly, baseboard (skirting), miles of it...but until I do, we can't get new carpet, as the last thing I want is to drop paint on my new carpet.
I don't know how old this carpet is; over 6 years for certain, probably came with the house which makes it 14. It's pale grey. On stairs and hall. Wow. Good colour choice! ::sarcasm:: It's not exactly pale grey now though. We've had it steamed a few times but it's so utterly filthy after juice, pee, poop, paint, mud that the dump will probably turn it down.
Today I should go out and buy more paint, a present for a child, come back and do much painting/tidying and write. My Book of Days fic is over 5000 words (yay) but it's still only two thirds done and it'll need betaing so a week isn't that long really and I'm feeling the pressure.
Hmm. I think I feel better. This was like writing a to-do list, wasn't it, and everyone knows once you do that, the job's virtually finished. That's right, yes? Please say yes.
