It's a long weekend here in Canada; we have a new holiday on Monday called Family Day and everything will be closed.
I'm not all that keen on it, to be honest; I'd sooner they added it to the Easter holiday as they do in England, so we have a really long break, with the Friday off as well as the Monday (the kids are off school on Easter Monday, but people mostly work that day).
I mean; family day. Not everyone HAS one, you know?
Good news; it was confirmed yesterday that we are getting a whole new kitchen; all the cabinets, walls repainted, floor. We have to go to the kitchen place, choose the replacements within the budget, and if we want more we can, but we have to pay the excess, which is fair. Fingers crossed all goes well; this is such a huge project.
The novel is going well; I missed writing my quota yesterday but that was because David was home sick and WG and I were working on edits for Waking the Dead (coming very soon!) so I still feel productive and guilt-free. I'm ahead of schedule on it as I always write more than the 1,000 words I set myself, and those extra words mount up.
