That clocked in at 41 minutes; a good four minutes extra; makes a lot of difference.

Okay, cutting now.

Ruby is way less irritating than she used to be. Less strident, more desperate, I think. But she was still -- no pun -- dead wrong. And Nancy... there's something weird about someone who'd volunteer that fast to have her heart cut out when there was, as we discovered, a clever, viable alternative.

It sucks that Henricksen died just as he was on their side. Just sucks.

And I'm kind of dancing around the edges because frankly I'm a little shell-shocked here. I watched it alone as David had soccer, and I didn't have anyone to bounce ideas off in the commercials but wow, that start was just wham-bam scary.

Bela. She's taking the Colt to Lilith? To someone she thinks can fight Lilith? Who knows. She's a pain.

Loved Dean's sudden freeze when John got accused of brainwashing and molesting him. Loved Sam mirroring it and their reaction when they were told they'd never see each other again. Those two triggers; attacking John and the bond they share, will work every time and you so don't want to use them. Even shackled and in a cage, they looked menacing right then.

The tattoos. Heheheh. Great idea and so damn yummy.

This was a dark, gritty episode. Dean's seeing the cracks spreading through Sam and he's desperately trying to be the glue that holds his brother together, but Sam's slipping through his fingers like sand.

I didn't have a clue what the episode title meant, so I looked it up.

law concerning allowable justifications for armed force

Oh, nice...

And if Dean hadn't capped that quotation from the lyrics, I would have felt like I was choking on the line, so thank God he did.

Lilith. Hmm. Reserving judgment. Let's hope she's not another Annoying One. Where's Spike when you need him?
