Other news; went to get Lauren from preschool and they said they had openings and she can go every morning if I liked, instead of just Mon/Wed/Fri. Am ashamed to say that I didn't even hesitate but knelt down, asked her, she said yes and whee...five mornings free!
Having problems writing fic. Can't seem to get back into 'Retroactive', don't have a pull to writing anything else. Not blocked, just not driven.
I just cut and pasted part three of Retroactive into this; done about 1500 words, read it and deleted it. It's no good; not awful, just dull. Would you all hate me if I abandoned it? I've never done that but I'm really not getting anywhere with it. I might rewrite it, shorten it drastically and give it an ending so it's not just hanging there...yes, I can see how that would work. OK, I'm talking myself into this...::wanders off crying because, damn, it was so good in my head when I started it::
