I put my Snyder fic up at ff.net and browsed the just in page. Haven't done that for ages as I don't write R and under much now. Oh God, some of the badfic is so funny... Sad, yes, but funny.
One was a Buffy/HP crossover that opens with this,
When Buffy got to school on Monday morning she thought that everything was going to be okay. She didn't know that her past was going to kick her right butt.
I'm giggling insanely at that. I can see her past studying her bottom and deciding which side to go for.
I also got kerfuffle giggles. Remember I clashed with Jake on a newsgroup? I stopped replying as eventually even I learn my lesson, but the discussion has carried on, not too flame-like either, which is nice. He had this to say about Spike,
I can see Angelus using Spike's need for a father figure to control
him. Spike might be bi; but he's more a mama's boy than anything else.
Not many truly straight males are into bleaching their hair, that's for
sure.
I'm obviously married to the lone exception to that rule. David doesn't do it now, but when we met he had a nice mop of long, bleached blond hair. Lots of my straight male friends dyed their hair, or crimped, back combed, hair sprayed it within an inch of its life. I did too...which is why some photo albums of the eighties need to disappear before Eleanor finds them and mocks us both when she's older. ::grin::
