Richard Burgi and Cyndi Lauper

In a comment, lounge_lily told me that Richard Burgi was in Cyndi Lauper's 'I Drove All Night' vid which sent me straight to YouTube at 7.30 a.m. sleepy eyed but a woman on a mission.

I can't find anything online about it, but the man's only in a few scenes (naked in bed, seen from a distance; the best shot is thirty seconds from the end) so I suppose that's not surprising. And it certainly does look like him.

Now I'm humming it in a haze of late 80s nostalgia...
