All achy after much gardening (David extended the veggie patch and I weeded the border) and, as I told WG, I discovered at bedtime that my T-shirt had ridden up as I leaned in to get these horrible little weeds that catapult seeds everywhere when you just brush them and I have a strip of bright red burned skin across the small of my back, which started to hurt as soon as David told me about it. I'm slathering it with moisturizer.
Beautiful weekend; hard to believe that in the week we had sleet and I watched the girls' soccer games in my winter coat, wrapped round in a blanket.
I wasn't around much this weekend, but I finished my Moonridge fic (finally!
bluebrocade has been so patient and hasn't nagged me once; you're an angel ::hugs::) and it's around 28,000 words and is with
t_verano for beta reading which means it's going to be in the hands of one of the best beta readers out there. T beta reads like she gives feedback; thorough, detailed; you want to eat it with a spoon.
And I missed my anniversary of 'the first fic Jane ever posted and it kind of sucked, but we won't mention that, oh, no'. Which was six years ago yesterday.
Six years and I've done, hmm, 686 fics. Wow. That's a neat number; all those sixes (three of them would've been a little freaky :;g::)
It's weird having no original deadlines for the first time in months. I'm a lady of leisure. Somehow, I thought the ironing would miraculously, spontaneously get done now, but sadly, no :;stares at ironing mountain with a pensive frown::
Today, I shall catch up on loads of bookmarked fics, start my this year's Moonridge fic for
carodee's Orgasm for Blair anthology, and I'm toying with doing a vid.
Ironing. Hmm. I'll maybe do a shirt or two... later.
