These are authors I love who aren't often mentioned. If anyone here is a fan of them and wants to chat, pull up a chair. These are people I read every few years and have done since I was little. OK, some not so obscure but here we go;

Patrick Dennis. Best known for Auntie Mame but he wrote so much more..

D.E Stevenson. Wrote romances if you want to label but also wrote some good stories with excellent insights into characters and motivations. Miss Buncle's Book is so funny...

Georgette Heyer. Did I mention how ticked I can get when people dismiss her as an Austen wannabee?

E. M Delafield. She wrote way more than Diary of a Provincial Lady but it is that series I love the best. I would have read her LJ.

E F Benson. I practically have his Mapp and Lucia books memorised.

Jane Duncan. her "My Friends" series is a stunning account of a life that never was.

Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, Ngaio Marsh...the classics.

I just realised how long this might get so I'll stop there.
