Some choice quotations from RB who often seems to be having a lot more fun than he should in interviews. Yes, I ended that first quotation there deliberately :-)

When asked about Cole Riccardi:
RICHARD: Now that was another wonderful show that met its demise way too early, but it was pretty wacky and out there. Do I miss it? Yeah, I think there is a part of me that just loves that wacky, out there stuff. You know, John Cleese in a woman's wig, I just saw Monty Python last night and seeing those guys in drag, it's so much fun. I'm throwing a little bit of that around in everything. Jim Ellison had a little bit of vamp in him too. I don't know if you picked up on it, but he had some cross-dressing tendencies people never knew about.

This 350 word snippet won't make much sense if you haven't seen the show and it spoils episode 10 (but not 11, which is only funny if you've seen them both...) but what the hell, I felt like doing it now I've finished watching all 13 episodes (loved them to bits).

Adore Action and can't imagine why they cancelled it. Peter's breaking my heart even when I want to smack him around the head for being a bastard.
And Richard Burgi was brilliant in his two episodes so I bring screencaps (4).
The hair is bad and he's disturbingly like Vice!Jim in places but even so, it's RB and he gets away with it, oh, does he ever.

Now Google is being nice to me again, I found a snippet of dialogue from the TV show 'Action' with Richard Burgi as Cole Riccardi, an action star, giving blow jobs (well, one, but one's enough) on screen and generally making me wonder why all the good shows never make it to DVD (unless it is available? :;looks hopeful:: ETA: Yes, it looks like Amazon has it; thank you all!) I've heard about this show but never seen it...
