This episode scores big on the Vancouver Actor Bingo card, but more than that, 80% of the people turned up in TS later. They really do have just 20 actors up there.

We have, in that one episode,

Sherman Augustus (Earl from The Sentinel)
Jeff Kaake (Brackett from The Sentinel)
Jay Acovone (best known for Stargate but also a Sentinel guest star from Spare Parts; a.k.a The Man Jim Called Chief When We All Know That's BLAIR'S Nickname, Dammit.)
Douglas Stewart (Patrick Donaghue in The Trance)
Sean Campbell (both Stargates and Siege and Four Point Shot as Southern)
Carlo Rota (Jack Buchanan on The Rig)

Now I'm wondering: RB wasn't their first choice for Jim; they wanted the man who played The Flash. Suppose RB hadn't got the job; they were almost guaranteed to have him on TS as a guest at some point, so what kind of character would he have played?

He was a suave villain on Viper, but he'd played a happy go lucky cop after that on OWW. Imagine Jim swaggering in as a Fed, or a witness needing protecting -- or Naomi's current boyfriend, or a prisoner in Prisoner X...

Ooh, so many possibilities!

Just mainlined the first two episodes of the new season and I do so love this show ::pets it:;

And I will put good, solid money on that forest they were in being the exact bit Stargate use.

I recognized the tree stump :-)

Slightly connected, in a Canadian Actor Bingo way, I've heard that SGA is getting two Sentinel people in an episode (Anna Galvin and Tamlyn Tomita, also a Eureka actor).

Cool.

Now, can we have Richard Burgi as a suit on Eureka, or, seeing how many Stargate people have been on it already, Christopher Judge?
I can't find a way to save the trailer (flash) despite trying a few methods and programs, but if anyone hasn't seen it, it's here:

I wrote to the people behind it last week and got this reply:

Hello,
Thank you for your interest in WHEELMEN. At this time no distribution has been finalized for the film in North America. As soon as we have additional information, we will update you.
Sincerely Yours,
Timberwolf Productions

My main reason for posting was that I just realized who else in in there with RB; Jim Beaver; Bobby from Supernatural.

Okay, what with being in two films with Jared, I'm now wondering why exactly RB hasn't been on SPN yet given how many shows he guests on.

I might have mentioned this before, but I want him as a mean and moody hunter with an interesting scar, wearing a battered leather jacket and calling the boys 'puppy' at LEAST once as he runs his thumb down the blade of his knife to check how sharp it is.

That's all.

Well. Maybe not all but if I carried on with my ideal plot, it'd get so far into wish fulfillment that I'd blush.

Though given that [livejournal.com profile] mpoetess just posted to say that Ben Browder is laying smoochies on Michael Shanks' mouth at Comic-Con (please let there be vid), maybe wishes do come true ;-)))
I was idly noodling around Richard Burgi's IMDB page after looking for his 1991 milk commercial on YouTube (it's not being excessively obsessed if you, umm, if you... oh, whatever).

ANYWAY. I saw a show I'd never heard of before called "It's True" (1998) that was apparently never picked up and only one episode was filmed.

Not only was it by Danny Bilson (The Sentinel) but it featured Colin Cunningham (Major Davis!) with Richard Burgi, Bruce A Young (Simon Banks) and Henri Brown from TS.

My God, it practically IS The Sentinel cast apart from Garett.

::wants::

Anyone have it? :;looks hopeful::

[livejournal.com profile] simboo just asked me if I recognized the actor with Kavan at the start of this week's Supernatural as she thought he was another SGA actor and I squinted at the single dark frame and wondered if it was Grodin.

And she checked, and it was Craig Veroni, so where's my bingo marker?

ETA See?

So I'm watching an episode of Psych (2.08 Rob-a-Bye Baby) when I see Jim Ellison's cousin, Rucker Ellison (Eric Keenleyside) from Storm Warning (he also played Ray Kaminski in the S1 episode Killers but we won't talk about why Jim didn't recognize him. Sshhhh.)

Nifty! I like seeing that they're still all around up there in Vancouver and working. Vancouver. Where I'm not :;whimpers sadly:;

And he's from London, Ontario, just up the road from me.

Ooh, and he was the store clerk in Supernatural's 'Simon Said' episode; yes, I think I remember clocking him in that.

I wish Garett would move up to Vancouver again and guest star in a zillion shows, which seems very, very easy to do if you're a Vancouver actor.
