I'm sitting on three fics ready to post and not getting posted because the next one up is supposed to be the 500th and I was going to do something different for it. They've been on my hard drive for weeks; the foursome one I began on the Vancouver holiday in July.
Oh, what the hell. If I add in scraps and snippets I'm probably well past 500
anyway.
So I'll break the deadlock and post one ::closes eyes and stabs finger::
Okay. The Firefly/The Sentinel crossover, which may never get continued (I want to, really, really do, but no promises) but is fairly complete in that you can see where they're going.
Background for those who need it: A Sentinel has heightened senses and protects his village, historically. In The Sentinel, Jim Ellison was a police officer and it was a city and he did it with the help of a man able to guide him and protect him when his senses overloaded, leaving him vulnerable; Blair Sandburg.
Let's jump forward 500 years or whatever into the Fireflyverse, and we meet Lieutenant Womack, a corrupt, violent cop who's just royally fucked up a mission he took on his own time (The Message)and who is now in big trouble with the Alliance. And about to meet his own Sandburg who's also a little darker around the edges.
This is how he looks. Note the gloves ;-)
( Womack )This fic's about 3,500 words long and follows immediately on from The Message.
( Flying Into the Black )
