Let's go with research because I know my intentions are pure ;-)

I've just spent rather too long scrolling through online back issues of Neirad, the school magazine for Garett's high school (and it took me too long to work out how they got the title, too).

I was hoping I'd see a mention of him in the sporting section or the drama club but nope, not a one :-(

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong years; if he graduated class of '88, just when would his time at high school have been? I went from 1985-88. ETA And I jumped forward to when TS aired to see if he got mentioned as a former student made good, but, no).

It's very hard to read them as the print is smudged (and the search function doesn't work, sadly).

We never had a paper at our school, so I found it fascinating to read just in and of itself as a snapshot of the times.

It's already way past any bidding limit I'd set, but go and look at this early publicity picture of Garett and drool/restrain yourself from licking the monitor/make happy little whimpering noise, whatever.

It's here and I got pointed there by a post of garettgal which was a lovely start to a very blustery day (if I can borrow from Milne), so thank you.

I forgot to mention this. While I was searching for Garett on CSI mentions a week ago, I found his name here, on a class list for Darien High School.

They're having their 20 year reunion, for the Class of '88, and he's one of the names listed that they can't get in touch with...

There was a post on one of the TS lists that said Garett may be on an episode of CSI, third week in May.

If so, whoo-hoo etc and I hope it's the first of many more appearances for him; I can think of a lot of shows he'd be great for.

t_verano and I fell in love with the picture of Garett in a white shirt at www.garettmaggart.net and as I'd wanted to do a thank you icon for her for a long time, for all her wonderful beta work on Point of Contact and other fics, when she asked if I could do one using this photo I may have :;cough:; gone a little wild and done 34....
