There was a great iPod utility
http://www.http.com//ebookhood.com

that took plain text files of, say, fanfics, and converted them so that you could read them on your iPod; just went to use it and it was gone.

Anyone know of an alternative? I searched but most links just pointed at this, still.

It was really, really handy and I loved reading fic on my iPod but it was nice to swap stories in and out and now I can't :-(

I have about 8 fics loaded onto the Notes section of my iPod; suddenly, they're not there. I plug it into my computer, open the Notes bit and there they all are; unplug it, go to Notes and it's blank and refusing to admit it has them.

No love, iPod, no love.

Any suggestions as to what's gone wrong? I've been having so much fun reading fanfic in bed (even if David says the click as I scroll is driving him mad...) There's still oodles of free space left; it's not full or anything.

It fixed itself. I'm puzzled but happy.

Someone on my f-list linked to this a couple of days ago and I forget who (brain = sieve), but thank you!

You don't download anything; just save a fic as plain text, it coverts it instantly into a zipped file, which you download, then you plug your iPod into your computer, go to it in My Computer, move the zipped file to the 'Notes' bit (in Extras) and unzip it along the way and presto; fic is now on your iPod and you can read it. Tiny chunks, yes, so not advised for epics, but whee, I can read fic on it AND watch vids.

Yip with a sideorder of eee!

I just d/led some TS podfics AND three TS vids (one by me) to my new iPod.

You have no idea what a thrill it was watching a vid on it; so clear; brilliant quality, and just so right there in my hand and I can take it anywhere... uh, there's a shorter way of saying that, isn't there?

Portable. Yes.

Stop snickering in a jaded fashion in the back there; this is all New and Exciting to me.

EEEEEE!!!
