I was. I remember David and I spotting The Laughing Corpse in a Portsmouth bookshop when it was a new release and both loving it. So, when it comes to LKH, I've been reading her for a long time. I LIKED Anita. She kicked vampire bottom like no one's business and the awesomeness of the closing line to Guilty Pleasures hasn't dimmed over time.

So this holidays I decided to start at book one and see where, for my money (and, yes, I've bought all her books up to the last few, some in hardcover; I've put my money down and now I'm voicing an opinion as a purchaser) it all went wrong.
