Okay, does anyone know why the PTB suddenly decided to make Colby/David a running joke (or canon, depending on how you want to look at it)? The end of this episode reminded me a little of the episode of The Sentinel when Jim and Blair both go to the restaurant to meet Cassie and end up bonding.
Colby, David and Nikki are discussing dating or lack of and Colby says 'We're married' pointing at David, then there's a beat and he adds 'to the job' and they fist bump. Nikki suggests they all bring a date to a restaurant and see who can have the 'best' date (looks, credentials, etc). Her celebrity date blows her off and when David and Colby walk in together she thinks they're all dateless but Colby says no, David is his date (pulling out David's chair for him as he speaks) and they keep the 'we're dating and a couple' schtick going to scene end.
Tell me there's post-ep fic. I'm already head-writing one for an earlier episode when Liz tells everyone she thought Edgerton had a thing for Colby (have to say I'm not sure why; Ian always seemed more interested in Charlie...)

And I *know* there's another one in which David and Colby kiss in the car with Nikki in the back seat, but I can't find it now! Will link if I do.
