Stargate Continuum

We stopped off in, umm, I forget where; somewhere between Flint and Lansing, where we saw a Best Buy from the road, and went DVD shopping and I bought Continuum ::bounces::

I watched it last night and enjoyed it very much.

Chicago

I wrote the trip up in longhand, but as ever, I can't read my writing. We left on Wednesday morning and immediately ran into a storm. Wow. We were on the 401 and people were pulling off to the edge of the road and stopping, it was so bad. We left it behind us and carried on, with me navigating using a Mapquest set of directions as we'd only bought a Chicago map.

Big mistake.

The Chalet School Goes to the Pegasus Galaxy

Well, no, not really. Although it would be SO much fun if it did. I can just see Matey taking over in the infirmary and scolding Sheppard for getting wet feet and keeping him in bed with a jigsaw to do, and the prefects getting up charades and a bake sale for the homeless Athosians. And I'm sure they'd find somewhere to walk to with a cliff to fall over...

I'm rereading the CS books for the umpteenth time, you see, and finding that by far the best ones are with an adversary; a new matron or headmistress who clashes with the school, a rebellious pupil, a rival school...
