I just cleaned the top and sides of the oven before the men come with our new one and put the old one out on the sidewalk, where it will disappear in about 15 mins, if past experience is anything to go by.

Why did I feel the need to clean a broken oven just so the neighbors don't judge me, why? ::facepalm::

The new one is going to be such a step up. Double oven, convection heating, infra-red grill...

It's here though we got $300 knocked off as it was on special that day (nice break for us!).

It's going to look so shiny!

We've never had a self-cleaning one; I'm astonished at the volcano-like temperatures they go up to while they're doing it; 800 degrees. Wow.Why doesn't the oven just, I don't know, melt?
