I see people posting their timed out Moonridge fics from Caro's Orgasm Anthology, themed around Blair's luscious mouth, so I will do likewise.

Many thanks to [personal profile] carodee for running this deliciously naughty anthology again and all who bid on it at Moonridge. ::hugs::

And many thanks to T Verano for beta reading this fic with her usual meticulous eye for detail ::smooches her::.

My Moonridge fic is now done and with its awesome beta, [personal profile] wesleysgirl. It's 30,000 words, well over the 20,000 words I promised, so I feel happy about that. Today, I started work on my next novel, which has to be handed in on Sept 1. I love the plot and I'd already drafted an outline and done 5000 words so I'm excited but I'm feeling very fannish about Numb3rs right now (just about to start the season 2 finale) and I'm torn wanting to write fic for it.

When they give me Don telling Charlie that he supposes he'll have to go on his knees for him and doing it, so they can play fight, it's hard to resist ;-) And I'm such a baa lamb; the Colby love kicked in just like you all told me it would with the episode where a shooter comes into the FBI offices. Loved that final scene with him and David drinking beer and going on to have comfort sex and the way he's so fascinated by Charlie.

I've been following the SG-1 comm kerfuffle over at Fandom Wank. Just utterly incredulous and so very disappointed in how it all went down. I felt my embarrassment squick kick in full force just reading that totally uncalled for reaction to a fic and I'm equally bemused by the fact that the only ones apologizing are the people I see as the victims.

This wank is profoundly depressing.

Fandom's lost some of its shiny.

ETA Recent posts by some of the people involved (links in the comments) have improved the situation some. Still a mess, though. It just goes to show how easy it is for things to go boom :-(

ETA2 Just been pointed out that the links in comments are on the DW post so adding them to the main post:

Here is the second of my fics for Moonridge '08 that's now timed out. It was bid on by 20 people, which is incredible; thank you all so much for your donation and I hope that you enjoyed the story.

Many thanks also to my beta reader, [livejournal.com profile] mab_browne for her very helpful comments and [livejournal.com profile] t_verano for her support when I got stuck.

The story is, as the title suggests, set after Crossroads, and is 16,500 words. No kink, some angst, a happy ending. I've split it into two as it's too long for one post.

The opening few lines of dialog are from the episode script.

Go to Part Two
I feel very productive and pleased with myself, but my arms are wet spaghetti.

First, writing; WG and I are tagging like wild things and our J/B first time fic for the My Mongoose Moonridge e-zine is at just over 18,000 words and we have masses of story to go.

In my spare time, I've been uploading all my Sentinel fics, gen, het, slash, to the new archive, Artifact Storage Room 3. I'll continue to upload to 852 as well, but it's nice to have somewhere that takes all kinds/ratings and where I can edit my own fics.

The only problem is that I have 160 Sentinel fics and that's a lot of cut and pasting... 69 63 to go. I discovered that the fastest way, that also preserves formatting and italics, is to simply c and p from the fics on my webpage and use the summary there. Doing it from Word screwed things up.

The main reason I'm cream crackered, though, is that we cleaned out the basement today, partially, anyway.

I would say more, but I'm too tired hence the rambling nature of this post. Many, many bin bags of trash, despite David's answer to 'Shall we toss this out?' inevitably being 'No, it might come in handy, just put it over there.'

The Moonridge Auction is now live.

You can buy me! :-)) Sort of.

I'm in [livejournal.com profile] carodee's Orgasm for Blair anthology (twice) and she says the total word count for the anthology is 28,000 words, so getting that for $10, looking at the juicy snippets she's been posting, is a positive steal.

And for everyone willing to donate $15, you get to see my next story first; it's still being written, but you know me; I write fast. Minimum 15,000 words, most likely more, and it's set after Crossroads, when Jim's got some explaining to do... and maybe Blair isn't in the mood to listen.

Donations are really needed for this year's auction; details of what and how you can donate are here. There isn't going to be a Sentinel day, but Garett will get told the total raised at the GMOH event in England in October and it'd be nice if it was on a par with other years.

I've donated two stories of six and three thousand words to [livejournal.com profile] carodee's Blairgasm Anthology and I'm also writing a story for the My Mongoose 'zine for Moonridge, with a first times theme. The Blairgasm anthology is looking so hot. Mmm. Caro keeps posting snippets as she gets the fics from people and consider my socks well and truly knocked off already; can't wait to read them! The main post about it is here.

I'm also planning to donate a fic, minimum 15,000 words, maximum whatever the story calls for, to Moonridge. The auction is a little different this year; it's going to be the kind where everyone who pays a set amount gets the fic and that group gets to read it all to themselves for a month.

I was going to do a poll to see what would be the most attractive fic I could put up to make the most money for the animals, but I kind of already did a poll like this back here and it seems you like longer fics, either humor or slice of life, so that's sorted.

Now I just need a plot :-)

I'm doing a happy dance here; my banner for the Moonridge site was one of the two winning entries over at [livejournal.com profile] sgcascadeicons. Really wasn't expecting that, but I'm so chuffed.

Here's the banner and the icon that goes with it.

Thank you so much to those who liked it ::hugs::
