A while back (years) I bought a navy wooden chair from Value Village and spray painted it copper, then chalk painted it pale green.
Then about three months ago, I decided to see what was underneath and discovered about 7 different layers under the two I was responsible for.
Applied stripper and am sanding in fits and goes. I think it's maple... Never knew how many bits a chair had until I started to sand one down. Painting it? Easy peasy.
Anyway, here are some pix of the progress. Hoping to finish up soon but David and I are recovering from Covid (nabbed us after 2 years but triple jabbed and it's bearable) and I can get exhausted lying on the couch, I swear.

This woman I watch on Youtube does some amazing refurbs, and I really like the products she uses (oils and waxes), and the more natural look she gets. Might be helpful, if you're interested (plus the pieces are just gorgeous).
